About Us

T Brian Knauer
Brian started Florida Insurance Brokers in 1996 and has been licensed since 1991.  He has a 220 insurance license but specializes in employee benefits.  

He travels to Washington DC and Tallahassee  once or twice a year to speak to our representatives about how to improve the healthcare and health insurance system.  He is involved in his association and was chapter president for 2 years and president elect for Florida.  He is a Continuing Education teacher and teaches classing including Ethics, Senior Suitibility, and Health Savings Accounts.

His family are all natives of Florida. 

He went to State University of New York College at Oneonta.  

When not at work, expect to see him fishing or out on the boat with his family.

Alastair Haddow
Alastair is a Native from Scotland.  He has a great business sense and before Florida Insurance Brokers owned a school supply chain of stores.  He has been with the company since 2004.  

He has been on the board of Sarasota chapter of Health Underwriters for the last 4 years.  He too likes to travel to Washington DC and Tallahassee to lobby our legislators. 

He nows calls Sarasota his home.  You might seem him sailing down Sarasota Bay or golfing on his free time.  He likes to travel to Europe once or twice a year.
